10 Nepali students killed in Hamas attack on Israel, 3 under treatment

 

About ten Nepali students have died due to the ongoing war in Israel.


  An official of Nepal's embassy in Israel confirmed the death of the students to ANI on Sunday.  However, foreign ministry sources said they are trying to find out how many Nepalese nationals have died.  Hamas, which rules the Gaza Strip, launched a surprise air, land and sea attack on southern Israel on Saturday morning.



At least 600 Israelis, including soldiers, have been killed and more than 2,000 injured.  It is being called the country's worst attack in the last 50 years.  More than 1,000 people have been killed in the Gaza Strip in Israel'retaliatory attack, while nearly 2,000 have been injured.


According to sources in Nepal's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, 17 Nepalese students were living in Kibbutz Alumim in southern Israel under the 'Learn and Earn' program.  Two of them managed to escape safely and three students were injured.  Foreign Ministry sources said that the injured Nepalese students are being treated at the hospital.
